Watch Jon Gosselin’s Message to His Estranged Kids After His Battle With Coronavirus
Jon Gosselin has hope for his family's future after being hospitalized with a serious case of coronavirus.
In a new interview in the Dr. Oz Show, which will air on Thursday, the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star spoke about his fight against COVID-19. He told Dr. Mehmet Oz that his girlfriend's daughter Colleen Conrad, Jordan, took him to the hospital when his fever reached 104.8 degrees.
"I was in a wheelchair. I had to wait in the emergency room," Jon explained. "It was full, like the hospital was full, and then they put me on a stretcher and stood me in the hallway in the waiting room so I could get a makeshift room and then when they rated me and took and got my blood once My whole blood count done, suddenly I'm getting antibiotics, steroids and a plasma antibody transfusion for COVID. It happened very quickly. "

The ordeal made Jon think about his family's future. The former reality star split from his then wife and reality TV co-star Kate Gosselin in 2009. The two have been involved in a custody battle for their eight children for years.
Jon currently has custody of Hannah and Collin, two of the couple's 16-year-old sextuplets. They are also parents to Aaden, Leah, Joel and Alexis, also all 16, as well as 20-year-old twins Madelyn and Cara.
Dr. Oz, who had previously come under fire for his controversial comments on the coronavirus, asked Jon what he would tell his six estranged children after his health crisis.
"Just tell them I love them and I'll just think about the future more," Jon replied. "I hope you build a relationship with Hannah and Collin. I hope that one day I can be part of your life. I'm glad I got a second chance. I was more concerned about myself in the hospital and about it to get better and get better. " back to my family. I miss you This is another surreal part of my life where I developed a thick skin to move forward and help Hannah and Collin now that they have lived with me. These are things that I want to build on. "
