Trump Owned By Parody Twitter Account He Apparently Believed Was His Sister's
President Donald Trump was overjoyed on Friday over tweets from his sister welcoming him as the winner of the presidential election - which were actually not written by her.
Trump retweeted an article by Conservative talk show host Wayne Dupree, who also apparently believed the Mystery @ thebettytrump account actually belonged to the President's older sister, Elizabeth Trump Grau.
Dupree highlighted tweets allegedly from the normally reluctant Trump Gray that were positive about her brother. The faux-sis tweets praised Trump as the true election winner Joe Biden actually won - and hailed him for fighting to reverse the results.
"This election inspired me to break my silence and speak on behalf of my family," the false sister said in a post on Wednesday. “My brother Don won this election and will fight this to the end. We have always been a family of fighters. "
Another said, “I have just spoken to my brother Donald. Asked him if there was a possibility for a concession. He said, "Elizabeth ... we are Trumps. The clean sheet is for quitters and losers."
Trump responded to Dupree's article in the tweets: "Thank you Elizabeth! LOVE!"
The parody account, whose very first tweets appeared this week, has been banned by Twitter for violating its platform manipulation and spam guidelines.
Dupree updated his mistake by saying the tweets were from an "alleged sister" and he was waiting for "fact checkers" to clarify.
Whoever opened the parody account also wrote a tweet on Friday. "I would have made it clear earlier that I am a parody, but I certainly did not expect Trump to become aware of the account himself!" The Mystery Duper tweeted.
The President's eldest sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, is a retired federal judge who until recently remained silent about her brother as well. In a series of audio clips of her released in August by her niece Mary Trump, she beats her brother as a liar with no principles you cannot trust.
Mary Trump released the clips - short sections of interviews with her aunt - after the publication of her book about her uncle, "Too Much and Never Enough."
