Tracey Edmonds Seeks $10 Million for Mulholland Estates Mansion
After more than 16 years in the neighborhood, Tinseltown businesswoman and TV personality Tracey Edmonds has publicly slammed a $ 10 million price tag on her lavish mansion in the gated Mullholland Estates community. The listing, which makes no secret of the house's celebrity ownership, shows that the lavishly decorated French castle-style house from the 1990s has more than 8,200 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The Manse also has a notable celebrity pedigree. Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty bought the spread in 2000 for $ 3.5 million and sold it to Tracey and her then record producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds in 2004 for $ 5.15 million. The couple divorced the following year, with Babyface moving out and Tracey retaining ownership of the property.
The house is separated from the private road by a particularly ornate iron gate and a car space and is located on a spacious plot of half a hectare. It offers a pale, stone-clad facade that blends seamlessly into the gray shingle roof. In addition to huge double doors, there is a large foyer with a curvy staircase and a Louis XIV-style chandelier that dangles from the ceiling. Recessed lighting, parquet floors, dramatic arched doors, and a distinctly rokko interior can be found throughout the structure.
On the first floor, the living room is arranged around a fireplace framed by a royal mantle. Just beyond is the dining room with two hanging chandeliers and a series of windows overlooking the quaint back yard. There's also a colossal kitchen with premium stainless steel appliances, a sophisticated alkaline water filtration system, and custom-made marble countertops. For more intellectual activities, head to the wood-paneled library, where the ivory-colored rug adds to its cozy atmosphere.
Upstairs, the master suite is unabashedly hedonistic. The bedroom has a separate sitting area with a double sided fireplace, direct access to a private terrace and a spa style bathroom with a marble bathtub and two vanities. The master overlooks the back yard, which is surrounded by towering hedge for maximum privacy, but still offers a bird's eye view of the San Fernando Valley basin. There's also an oversized pool and spa, built-in BBQ, covered outdoor dining area, and a fire pit.
Mulholland Estates, a closed enclave of luxury villas high in the mountains above Sherman Oaks, has long been known for its popularity with Hollywood types. Current famous residents not only include DJ Khaled, Big Sean, Kendall Jenner, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and Vanna White.
The listing is held by Mica Rabineau of Nourmand & Associates.
