The BMW Z8 is one of the most beautiful cars in recent history. Some would argue that it deserves a spot among the most beautiful vehicles of all time. And this one with only 7700 miles and one owner in its history is one of the most beautiful there is.
Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should buy instead of that boring commuter limo.
It doesn't have a perfect history - the seller notes a deer-related incident - but this Z8 comes in the correct silver-over-red finish with the hardtop. Although hardtops are often scratchy on convertibles, the Z8 looks incredible with the one-piece silver top. It also looks great with the canopy down or the canopy removed, keeping the sleek and shark-like profile intact from every angle. Rarely can an automaker perfectly recreate the magic of a legendary old car, but the Z8 even surpasses the gorgeous 507 that it takes its inspiration from.

In contrast to the Alpina, the "standard" Z8 could also be obtained in the manual. In the ideal configuration, you get a 4.9-liter V-8 sound, a stop-and-stare design, a charming retro interior and its own transmission for this car. It's one of the most desirable and interesting big touring roadsters you can buy. Don't expect it to get cheap.
