If you thought that a post-pandemic recast, a particularly terrifying villain, early layoffs for multiple candidates, and of course the midseason Bachelorette switch were already a lot of drama for Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette, you have another thought coming. According to Reality Steve, it doesn't get more chaotic until the latest episode of the series (Oct 27 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC) when Crawley taps Zach J. for a one-on-one conversation that is supposed to generate extreme reactions not only from viewers but also from the Bachelorette self.
Here's what you need to know about Zach J. and the drama he's stirring up on national television. (Spoilers ahead of course!)
Who is Zach J.
Zach Jackson (not to be confused with Zac Clark) is from Yakima, Washington, but currently lives in St. George, Utah. He is the founder of a CBD company and a cleaning company. According to his official ABC biography, the 37-year-old is "obsessed with chewing gum and chapstick," hates jazz music, and knows the difference between them, theirs and them. Refreshing!
Not so refreshing: he's the one whose entry onto the show consisted of falling to one knee and making a false suggestion to Crawley with a fart ring box.
Aside from his questionable taste for humor, Jackson's best traits, according to Jackson, are that he is "empathetic, funny, and smart." He's apparently had a crush on Crawley since her days as a certified badass of Juan Pablo's The Bachelor season. Unfortunately, it seems like those dreams will collapse within a single date.

What happens between Zach J. and Clare?
In a preview released prior to the October 27 episode of The Bachelorette, Reality Steve predicted that Jackson and Crawley's solo date "is likely to spark a lot of discussion." The date starts well with some spa time for the couple and then turns around when they take a dip in the pool. "During this time, Zach has inappropriate aggressive behavior towards Clare that triggers her," said Reality Steve.
Put another way, ABC's synopsis of the episode mentions that "Zach J. is excited about his individual spa date with Clare, but his inability to relax could result in disaster."
Either way you put it, Crawley is leaving the date early, according to Reality Steve. If she doesn't show up for dinner, host Chris Harrison stops by and tells Jackson "it's best he goes." With this, Jackson is sent home without a rose ceremony along with Brandon Goss and Yosef Aborady.
Though Reality stayed with Steve on the details of Jackson's "aggressive behavior", he added, "Bottom line, I already know the response to this will be mixed. Some will say it's no big deal and Clare is overreacting, and so is Steve others will say it's absolutely a big deal. I don't think there's going to be much in between. "Then if you don't have to clear your schedule, I don't know what happens.
Did Zach J. say anything about it?
