Tesla is redesigning the Model 3 with some new features and design updates inside and out.
Range estimates are increasing across the board, starting at 263 miles with a fee and up to 353 miles with a fee.
Tesla's website estimates that shipments of the updated model will begin in 5 to 9 weeks.
Tesla is giving the Model 3 its own version of an on-cycle update. The updated version of the electric sedan looks a little different, has some new features and offers more range than before. Prices start at $ 39,190 for the Standard Range Plus model and rise to $ 56,190 for the Performance model.
The exterior design changes include new black panels for the door handles, window panels and turn signals that replace the previous chrome panels. The Performance model comes standard with new 20-inch overturbine wheels, and the other models have redesigned the 18- and 19-inch wheel options. There's also new interior trim for the door sills, door handles, window buttons, and seat controls, and the sun visors now magnetically click into place. The new functions include a power trunk and wireless charging pads for smartphones, which are located in the redesigned center console.
Range estimates are rising, and Tesla is now promising 263 miles for the Standard Range Plus (an increase of 13 miles), 353 miles for the Long Range (an increase of 31 miles, and 315 miles for the Power (an increase of 16 miles)) .

The options available remain unchanged. All colors except white are an additional $ 1,000 (red is an additional $ 2,000) and the 19-inch wheel option for Standard Range Plus and Long Range models is $ 1,500. A white interior costs $ 1,000 and Tesla's so-called Full Self-Driving Capability costs $ 8,000. A fully loaded Model 3 Performance with all of these extras costs $ 67,190.
Regardless of the model, the Tesla website shows delivery estimates for these updated vehicles from 5 to 9 weeks.
