Stanley Tucci admires his wife, Felicity Blunt, for everything she has done for her family. At the same time, the Searching for Italy host continues to commemorate and honor his first wife, Kathryn "Kate" Tucci.
More than a decade after her death from breast cancer in 2009, Stanley still has special memories with Kate. On Justin Long's Life Is Short podcast, Stanley talked about his new book Taste: My Life Through Food and how the loss of Kate has affected him over the years. In particular, he revealed what it was like to leave the house he had once shared with her. Stanley and Kate officially tied the knot in 1995 and were married for 14 years. A year before their diagnosis, in 2005, the couple bought a six-acre farmhouse in South Salem, New York.

"When my wife Kate died, it sure turned [my life] upside down, and she died in [our] house," he said to Justin later. “It was sad to leave this house. She was very close to nature. I'm a nature lover, but she was so much more ... She loved all of that, so it was very difficult to leave. "
Stanley left South Salem in 2013 to move to London, where he now lives permanently with Felicity, whom he married in 2012. But he still remembers Kate today. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning this January, The Devil Wears Prada actor spoke about how the loss stayed with him.
“You never stop mourning. You never stop mourning, ”Stanley told the point of sale. “And it's still hard after 11 years, it's still hard and it will always be difficult. But you can't let it, and she would never want any of us to indulge in this grief and take our lives off of it. She would never want that. She wasn't like that. "
