SNL: 'Badass' Savannah Guthrie Grills 'Crazy Uncle' Trump, as Biden Morphs Into Mr. Rogers During Town Hall

The second presidential debate may have been canceled, but Saturday Night Live still managed to get Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump and Jim Carrey's Joe Biden into the same sketch this weekend.
The cold open parodied the dueling town halls of the presidential candidates, with the incumbent interviewed by today's Savannah Guthrie (portrayed here by Kate McKinnon) and the former vice president of Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos (played by Mikey Day). The Democratic challenger stepped into his signature fliers and then sat down with undecided voters, each of whom received a glass of warm milk and a cozy blanket. At the end of the event, Biden slipped into Mr. Rogers' red cardigan and sang "Won't you be my neighbor?" to a mostly empty auditorium.
Meanwhile, Guthrie told skeptics on NBC not to be mad at NBC for hiring
"Thirst trap" for Trump across from Biden's town hall. Then she grilled POTUS about all QAnon conspiracy theories on ill-advised retweets. When told that he can't do things like this simply because he's not just someone's "crazy uncle", Trump suggested his behavior was "a preview of Thanksgiving dinner in many American households" before giving it to everyone crazy uncles out there said "stand back and stand by."
The Trump portion of the Cold Open also showed Chloe Fineman's take on the not-so-indecisive voter Paulette Dale (who said Trump had a great smile) and Ego Nwodim as the "nodding woman" Mayra Joli. The latter led to an appearance by Maya Rudolph's Senator Kamala Harris, who stopped by to investigate this "creepy Jordan Peele nonsense".
