Dwight Schrute and Angela Martin's relationship in The Office couldn't be more different than Rainn Wilson's real marriage to his wife, Holiday Reinhorn.
The actress has been with Holiday, a writer and producer, for nearly 30 years. The couple first crossed paths during an acting class at the University of Washington in the mid-1980s, according to The Huffington Post. As Rainn wrote in his 2016 memoir The Bassoon King: Art, Idiocy, and Other Filthy Stories from the Bandroom, he spent years after this acting class thinking about vacations. Finally, he decided to reconnect by looking it up on the whitepages.
When the two finally set a time and date to meet again, Rainn was immediately struck by the beauty of Holiday. "I don't believe in love at first - it just doesn't make sense - but that's exactly what happened to me that night," he wrote.

Rainn described the two as "artistic bohemians" who lived in New York in the 1990s. "We survived for years with pizza, falafel, beef with broccoli and scrambled eggs, barely lived above the poverty line - played theater and wrote strange things," he wrote on Instagram. "We took our pit bull for walks, read books, saw experimental plays, listened to Wilco and stayed up until two o'clock every night."
In the middle of the decade, the two decided to get married without a special suggestion. "I couldn't imagine being with anyone else because I loved her so much," he wrote in his book. "Also, I wanted the tax credit (yeah, there's a little bit of dwight in me. It always has, always will be)."
On June 30, 1995, the two tied the knot directly on the Kalama River in Washington. Like Rainn's icon from The Office, the ceremony was pretty unconventional. The couple's guests were led to the location of the ceremony by a bagpiper who played "Amazing Grace". Holiday wore white go-go boots and a mini dress, and the ceremony ended with the two of them jumping into the river.
"It was a bizarre and profound expression of our love. And a lot of fun," he wrote in his book.
In 2004, Rainn and Holiday welcomed their son Walter McKenzie Wilson into the world. Shortly thereafter, Rainn played his legendary role in The Office and changed the actor's life forever.
Since then, the two have had their hands full with various projects. Most recently, Rainn has appeared in TV shows such as The Power and Utopia and produced the Netflix documentaries We Are the Champions. Holiday was the narrator for the Bluff Creek Film Project in 2018 and writer of the short drama Push in 2017.
The two currently reside in their 1974 Spanish-style hacienda home in Southern California.
From time to time, Rainn and Holiday share a picture of themselves on social media so fans can pass out. To commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary this summer, Holiday posted an Instagram of the two, recognizing the "many miracles and twists" of their long-term relationship in the caption.
