Ryan Dorsey, Rivera's ex-husband and Josey's father, paid tribute to a black and white family photo on Instagram.
"Just as surreal as it's real that you're gone. If that makes sense, but none of it makes sense ... 34. I could only hear you say, 'Ah, I'm old AF now!' Ha ... take a rest, old lady, "he wrote.
This is how Rivera's former "Glee" colleagues honored their memory of her birthday:
Heather Morris, who played Rivera's on-screen love interest, Brittany, in the Emmy Award-winning musical dramedy, shared a black and white photo of them holding hands on Instagram entitled, "Happy Birthday my angel. I can." I'm not writing a stupid monologue because it's just too hard ... but I love you and I can't describe how much I miss you. "

"A little update, naya, the earth is REALLY a ghetto now !!! Still, I miss you so much and I wish you were here," Riley wrote. "There wasn't a day that you didn't cross my mind and when you do I take a moment of silence to remind myself of all the beautiful moments we have to spend together. I hear Amy Winehouse, have a sip of wine and have a very chic sausage in your honor today (don't worry, I'll check on mom). HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY ANGEL. "
Kevin McHale, who played Artie, shared an old photo of the cast. He wrote, "Happy Birthday, [Bee Emoji]. No one else could make us be this messy in public."
