Legally-Embattled YouTuber Tati Westbrook Sells Sherman Oaks Compound
After two months in the market and a healthy drop in prices, Tati Westbrook managed to discharge her Los Angeles home. The controversial YouTuber received $ 3.8 million from an unidentified buyer for the green Sherman Oaks estate - exactly $ 500,000 more than she and her husband James Westbrook paid for the space six months ago.
The walled and enclosed modern farmhouse is in the middle of the block on one of the best streets in the neighborhood and was rebuilt in 2016 by a local developer. The Westbrooks moved around 2017 and initially decided to rent from the previous owner. In the spring of 17, they commissioned famous YouTube design duo Mr. Kate to transform the property's detached guest house into an elegant storage / film studio for Tati's videos.
Since the 4 acre lot is particularly long and narrow, the house itself is also long and narrow, starting on the ground floor with an elongated large room that combines a living area with a fireplace and a formal dining area. In addition, a hallway leads past a powder room and walk-in wine cabinet to a more casual family gathering room with a family area, another fireplace, and a kitchen area with quartzite countertops and top-of-the-line wolf and wolf cabinet SubZero appliances, including a glass-fronted refrigerator. Also on the ground floor are maids, a large pantry, storage room, attached garage for two cars and a cinema with leather armchairs.
Upstairs there is another (smaller) family room, a laundry room and three guest rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. One of them set up a glamorous office for her. The master suite is a five-star resort with a seating area, marble bathroom and two closets - the larger for her, the smaller for him. Like the rest of the house, the master has wheat-colored hardwood floors and whitewashed walls that work together to give the place a chic, modern farmhouse feel.
Though the garden isn't particularly large, it's well-equipped with an outdoor bar and dining area, two large lawns, and a dark-bottomed plunge pool and spa. At the very back of the property is the aforementioned movie studio, which now has dozens of built-in drawers for storage, a full bathroom, and views of the quiet back yard.
Though she's still considered one of YouTube's most successful beauty influencers with more than 9 million subscribers and a whopping 1.4 billion cumulative views on her name, Westbrook has been in the news since 2019 for all the wrong reasons. First there was her hugely viral "BYE SISTER" video that she eventually deleted and that caused widespread havoc in the YouTube community, followed by a second video ("Breaking My Silence") that received 12 million views, but caused very mixed reactions.
Seriously, Westbrook is being charged with fraud - two of the most lucrative and breakneck industries in the world - by veteran entrepreneur Clark Swanson, her former business partner at Halo Beauty, a vitamins and cosmetics startup.
The 30-page lawsuit is great read, claiming, among other things, that Westbrook once stated she could sell a “shitty product” to her loyal followers, and that YouTuber Jeffree Star was offered $ 500 million for himself by L's beauty brand 'Oreal, however, declined to sell.
Though she's been silent on social media for the past few months, Westbrook and her husband reportedly returned to their hometown of Seattle, where she was born in the early 1980s. Records show that the couple's residence is home to a multi-million dollar apartment in a very famous and particularly expensive high-rise complex in the suburbs of Bellevue. The Westbrook residence is located on one of the highest floors of the building and offers panoramic views of the entire city. It is just minutes from big names like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.
Dennis Chernov of Keller Williams kept the listing; Antonio Bruno from Compass presented the buyer again.
