La Palma volcano spews lava and smoke

According to a volcano researcher, lava flowed down a new channel after a second cone partially collapsed on Cumbre Vieja on Monday (October 25).
A first part of the main cone collapsed on Saturday morning (October 23).
Lava from the volcano has covered nearly 2,223 hectares of land and has destroyed 2,000 buildings and many banana plantations since the eruption began on September 19.
