Klay Thompson makes appearance on bench at Chase Center for Warriors vs. Pacers

For the first time in the 2020-21 season, the Golden State Warriors welcomed a familiar face to the bench.
After suffering an Achilles tear in late November, Klay Thompson performed at the Chase Center to fight the Indiana Pacers. The injured rifle guard sat behind his teammates on the bench for the game.

Prior to the notice, Steve Kerr told media representatives that Thompson was recently near Golden State. The head coach of the Warriors was hoping for the five-time all-star.
I haven't seen it yet, but it has been for the past few days. He did his tests and came into the facility and saw some of the guys. Visit the training staff, but we haven't crossed yet. I hope to see him tonight.

While rehabilitating his ACL injury in the 2019-20 season, Thompson sat on the Warriors bench on occasion. The 30-year-old security guard even traveled with the team at times. However, Kerr said he doubted Thompson would be on any of Golden State's upcoming road trips.
After completing a seven-game homestand of competition against Indiana on Tuesday, the Warriors will be outside the Bay Area three times in a row. Thompson's next opportunity to join the Warriors on the bench is January 20th against the San Antonio Spurs.
