Kate Hudson celebrated her mother Goldie Hawn's 75th birthday with a beautiful tribute.
On Friday, the day before Hawn's birthday, 41-year-old Hudson shared a black and white throwback photo of her mother in wide-leg pants and a t-shirt.
“Tomorrow is a special day because it is the day my mother was born. @goldiehawn Goddess, lightworker, firebender, whirlwind with scorpion tail, butterfly mother, love expander, shining star, HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow, ”wrote Hudson. "I shoot nights, so I want to get my post tonight because I'll cross my eyes in the morning. I love you to infinity and beyond. Wish Mama G a happy birthday. I love you."
Hawn was promoting her Netflix movie The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2 this week, in which she stars with Kurt Russell, her 37-year-old partner. The couple recently reported on their lives together in a CBS interview on Sunday morning.
Although they first met in 1968 while filming the Disney musical The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, Russell was only 15 at the time. Hawn, 20, focused on meeting older men. But they got back together to direct the movie Swing Shift in 1983, and sparks flew. But that doesn't mean they were both ready to settle down.
"When I met Goldie, I was at a time in my life and at a time in my life when I would put my worst foot forward when it came to any type of relationship with the possibility of a relationship," said Russell, 69, across from CBS Sunday Morning. “I put my worst foot forward. If you can deal with this, maybe there is a chance that there is a reality of being together. "
When Hawn stared at his answer during the interview, Russell added that he was "terribly hungover" the first time they met. "That's not a good foot forward," he added.

Despite Russell's botched first impression, the couple fell in love and had a son, Wyatt, in 1986. (Musician Bill Hudson is the father of Kate and her brother Oliver Hudson, 44). Although Hawn and Russell never married, they insist that there is no secret to keeping their relationship going. Instead, it's about just liking the other person.
"They both want to be together," said Hawn. "You have to want to be together."
Russell echoed Hawn's statement, adding, "You're right. It's up and down, it's sideways, it's whatever. How do you explain it at the end of the day? It's the same as what you say. I name The love. "
Of course, that doesn't mean the couple hasn't navigated different struggles over the years. Even so, they are determined to move forward.
"In fact, the way to survive a relationship is that as you get older you say," [Sigh] I'm so glad I made it through this time. "Relationships go through times, sometimes very tough times," said Hawn. "But there is nothing sweeter than having a family, and it's all worth it."
