'Jeopardy!' reveals Mayim Bialik, Katie Couric, Bill Whitaker will also guest-host quiz show
"Danger!" unveiled a new line of innkeepers to fill in the void left by longtime host Alex Trebek, who passed away in November.
In addition to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who announced his plans to host on Tuesday, actress Mayim Bialik, journalist Katie Couric and correspondent Bill Whitaker of "60 Minutes" were also tapped for length of their stays.
Couric, whose role was first reported by the Los Angeles Times, will be the first woman to host the series. Other innkeepers will be named at a later date.
The show will, according to the announcement, make a financial contribution to the charity chosen by each host. "The amount donated corresponds to the accumulated profits of the participants who compete against each other in the weeks in which they act as innkeepers."

The first "danger!" without Alex Trebek: How did Ken Jennings fare as a host?
The actress Mayim Bialik is the guest presenter for "Jeopardy!"
Ken Jennings, who won the title "Jeopardy!" GOAT recorded 30 episodes last January and is playing the first six-week guest host role that began on Monday. USA TODAY television critic Kelly Lawler hailed the legend's efforts in a look back at its premiere. "As a host, Jennings studied at the Altar of Trebek and clearly tried to make as little waves as possible," she wrote. "A bit scripted and tense at the beginning, it relaxed towards the end of the episode. And once the viewers get used to a new voice reading the clues, it's possible to just enjoy the classic game show."
But it is an appearance that he makes with a heavy heart.
"I don't want it because it means we can't get Alex," Jennings said in a recent interview with USA TODAY. "It's just sad for me to get out there because I know that, like the audience, I wish it was Alex who is at the helm of the show."
Trebek's last episode aired on Friday but was picked up by pancreatic cancer on October 29, just 10 days before his death on November 8, aged 80.
