Who could forget that Amy Adams in full Disney princess regalia emerged from a sewer in Manhattan or was dancing and singing through Central Park? How about James Marsden stabbing a bus? It's been 13 years since Enchanted was released, but the timeless live-action animated film lives on as a Disney classic. Fortunately for fans, Enchanted's long-awaited sequel, Disenchanted, was announced by Disney during Investor Day 2020 along with news that the sequel will debut on Disney +.

What is Disenchanted about?
Enchanted stars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey.
In Enchanted, Giselle (Amy Adams) was transferred from her home in lively Andalasia, the land of fairy tales and true love, to what is now New York City. There she struggles to adapt and find ways to get back to her fiance, Prince Edward (James Marsden). With the help of Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and some well-timed songs, Giselle understands that her life in Andalasia is not exactly what it seems and that she may want more than she previously thought.
The events of the first film will follow with disappointment. So far, Adam Shankman is slated to direct with Amy Adams, who is slated to return as Giselle. The rest of the cast has yet to be confirmed. Very little information has been released about the plot, but according to IMDB, the film will investigate what happily happens afterwards to the end. It is rumored that Disenchanted has been in the works for years. So it's exciting to see the property finally get approved by Disney and find its home on Disney +.
