Olivia Jade Giannulli quickly learns that dancing is difficult. Very hard.
The 21-year-old will be cast in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars and has been rehearsing for a few weeks.
"There is no way I would call myself a dancer, but it is so much more work than you really expect with the dedication and patience you have to have with yourself," Giannulli told PEOPLE on Friday at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
“The pros make it look so effortless and easy, but once you're in and they really teach you the steps, it's a lot harder than I ever thought. But what I want to say is that the pros do such a good job. ”She added.

In fact, Giannulli noted that she is "just beginning to see some muscles in my back that were definitely not there before".
The YouTube influencer's DWTS casting takes place two and a half years after the college admissions scandal that involved her parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli and both of them spent behind bars.
"Obviously I'm not proud of the past," Giannulli told PEOPLE (the TV show!) Last week, noting that she is "still young" and "believes in second chances".
"I want to grow as a person, and I think sometimes it takes difficult situations and mistakes and things that we're really not proud of," she continued. "Of course I wish I could go back in time and do a lot of things, but I think it's important now for me to just keep learning and see where the world is going."

“I think the hardest part, honestly, is when you don't make a move or do it wrong and then say, 'Oh my god, will I ever find out? Will I ever understand what's going on? Giannulli added on Friday from DWTS. “It can get a little frustrating, but that's what the coaches are for of course. And they are so great. So it was a lot of fun. "
Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars premieres on Monday, September 20th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
