1 dead after wildfires erupt in California, Nevada

At least 14 major forest fires are burning in the west Thursday morning, including the Pinehaven Fire in Nevada and the Mountain View Fire in California.
Gusty, dry winds in front of a storm system that reached 50 to 60 miles per hour helped spread the fires.
The Mountain View Fire in the Eastern Sierra on the Nevada-California border has set more than 20,000 acres on fire and is 20% contained. It destroyed 80 buildings and the Mono County, California sheriff's office said there had been at least one death as a result of the fire.
